Toronto, ON - After a year-long search, Red Door Spa Holdings has chosen Book4Time as the exclusive provider of spa software for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas, Mario Tricoci Salons and Day Spas, and Simply Face & Body Spas.

Before choosing Book4Time’s enterprise class spa management system, Red Door relied on a proprietary system maintained completely in-house. “When the requirements of our business grew beyond what we could provide with our own system, we decided to look to what was available on the market,” commented Paul Kaczmarek, CIO for Red Door.

This was a major project for Red Door and Kaczmarek and his team spent time researching the competitive landscape, eventually selecting seven vendors that could potentially fulfill Red Door’s needs. A rigorous RFP was sent out to these seven vendors and from that, two were selected to present to Red Door’s Executive Management Team; Book4Time was among the final two selected for consideration. “While a lot of the other companies basically said ‘take it or leave it’, Book4Time actually listened to us and asked how we did business and why certain aspects [of the current system] wouldn’t work for us. This really made Book4Time stand out from the crowd,” said Kaczmarek.

The requirements of Red Door were intensive, which is why no single solution could fit its needs precisely. The chosen solution would need to be able to handle a high-volume, multi-location business as well as have the scalable architecture that can easily be customized to support Red Door’s business practices. “Book4Time is in a class of its own, both as a customer-focused company and as a user-friendly product, when it comes to supporting the demanding needs of large, multi-location spa chains.” commented Todd Walter, CEO of Red Door.
